The Scenic Rim Farm Box home delivery service is closing permanently from December 23, after four years of operation.

 

WHY IS FARM BOX CLOSING?

We hate to utter the phrase ‘cost of living crisis’ but unfortunately the reality is over the past 12 months we’ve noticed a change in household spending resulting in a reduction of orders alongside corresponding increases in our operating costs. Ours is an expensive business model and sadly it is no longer viable to offer the home delivery service.

WHEN IS FARM BOX CLOSING?

Orders will close at 8am Monday December 16 and we’ll be delivering up to Monday December 23.

DOES THIS INCLUDE SCENIC RIM FARM SHOP & CAFE?

No. We’re only closing the Scenic Rim Farm Box home delivery service. While the two businesses did initially operate together, they have been operating separately since early 2023. The Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café is open Thursday to Sunday each week.

CAN I ORDER FOR THE FIRST TIME NOW?

Yes, our minimum order is $100, with a $15 delivery fee. All final orders over $150 will receive FREE DELIVERY. You can order as a gift, and we'll deliver to your loved one's home address.

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

We deliver to Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Springfield, the Gold Coast and the Scenic Rim.

WHAT TIME WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?

Delivery times vary - we deliver Thursday through to Saturday between 6am and 7pm - you will receive a text message 30 mins prior to delivery to let you know our driver is not far away. Our final delivery day will be Monday December 23.

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME FOR MY DELIVERY?

If you’re not going to be home for the estimated delivery time, please let us know when you order and provide instructions of where we can leave your Scenic Rim Farm Box.
If you'd like to leave an esky out for us, we'll happily put the cold things in there for you.

WILL GIFT CARDS BE HONOURED?

Yes absolutely, our team is personally contacting all outstanding gift card holders to ensure they have an opportunity to use the cards before we close.

DO I NEED TO RETURN MY TIMBER BOX?

No! Great news, you are now the owner of a collector’s item. Please keep your timber box as a memento of your support of Scenic Rim Farm Box and of local producers. We’ve seen our versatile boxes used in many different ways – as plant holders, shoe holders, cat houses and we’ve even seen a sneaky few for sale on Marketplace!

WILL MY LAST ORDER COME IN A TIMBER BOX?

Unfortunately, no. All final orders will be delivered in cardboard boxes. While we replenished our timber box supply recently unfortunately very few have been returned so we do not have any timber boxes left in stock.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DECEMBER 24?

Our team will be taking a well-earned break over Christmas/New Year. If you have any outstanding questions or matters for us after December 24 please email info@scenicrimfarmbox.com.au and we will respond after January 6.

WHERE ELSE CAN I SUPPORT SCENIC RIM PRODUCERS?

In early 2025 we will email all customers with a list of where you can buy local Scenic Rim produce and products – both in region and online. We hope you continue to support our local farmers, makers and bakers – it really does make a difference.
